Primary This book is primarily aimed at BA and MA Social Work students taking modules with a focus on children, young people, families, and vulnerable adults. For example:
– Social Work with Children and Families (core module);
– Social Work with Adults (core module);
– Safeguarding (usually an optional module).
These modules are typically found at Years 2 and 3 of UG Social Work programmes but also on MAs.
Secondary
In additional to the professional social work and social care market, there are also a growing number of degree / foundation-level courses which prepare generic children’s professionals. These include courses such as Early Years; Early Childhood Studies; Children’s Integrated Professional Care; Childhood Studies.
