The good paper : a handbook for writing papers in higher education

This is a handbook for writing research papers, BA and other projects, theses, essays etc. in Danish higher education. The book is written for students who must independently formulate a research question and search for literature for their research papers: – Bachelor theses – Research papers – projects at all levels of project oriented education — Master and diploma theses. The book includes numerous annotated examples of good papers from a great number of university educations and professional bachelor programmes. The book’s view is that the research paper is a genre that cuts across fields and disciplines. This genre has five fundamental guiding elements which can be illustrated by the pentagon model: 1 – Research question; 2 – Purpose; 3 – Data, materials and phenomena; 4 – Theories, concepts and methods; 5 – Research design. By using these forms and adjusting them to their own use, students will gain a good and methodical start to their work.
